it looks like the weather is going to comply for our adirondack backpacking adventure. i hope i don't jinx it by being hopeful. i'm already packed and can hardly wait. depending on how much ground we can cover, i'm considering adding another peak (skylight) to our agenda, but if we make it that far i don't know if i can resist the temptation to try for mt. marcy. we shall see.
in other wilderness news, i'm growing out my beard and it fucking itches. i don't think i can stand it much longer. i had intended to let it go until i go back to work a week from now, but i'm not sure i'm going to make it.
at any rate, we're leaving monday morning, so if you don't hear from me after that, it's because i was eaten by a bear.
